Solaria consolidates its leadership in renewable energies with the acquisition of 260 MWh in battery storage systems (BESS), for approximately 20 million euros. In addition, the company has signed a framework agreement with a Tier 1 supplier for the supply of 1.4 GW in BESS systems, which will represent 5.6 GWh of energy. These strategic operations boost the progress of the hybridization of its solar plants in Spain, reinforcing Solaria’s position as a pioneer in innovation and energy efficiency.
The incorporation of this technology will optimize the generation and income of its plants, improving the management of the energy produced and increasing its value in the market. One of Solaria’s main strengths is its ability to hybridize existing facilities, which provides clear advantages in terms of costs and execution times, ensuring faster and more efficient returns.
With this acquisition, Solaria is at the forefront of the great revolution in the deployment of storage in the energy sector, especially in key markets such as Spain and Italy, where it already has 2.8 GW of BESS in the pipeline. This ability to store clean energy ensures greater grid stability, facilitates the integration of renewables and generates significant short-term benefits for both customers and shareholders.
Darío López, CEO of Solaria, emphasizes: “The firm commitment to storage not only optimizes our generation, but also expands our business opportunities and strengthens our leadership position in the sector. The hybridization of existing facilities, with lower costs and shorter lead times, allows us to move forward with our business opportunities.
