Solaria, a leading company in the development and generation of photovoltaic solar energy in Southern Europe, has joined the Spanish Green Growth Group, an association made up of more than 50 companies with the objectives of promoting public-private collaboration, making joint progress on environmental challenges and influencing policies that enable the necessary changes to be activated in order to achieve an appropriate energy transition.
Joining this initiative is another example of Solaria’s commitment to the sustainable development of society, placing special emphasis on the fight against climate change and the protection of the social and environmental surroundings in which renewable energies are deployed.
In recent years, Solaria has made great efforts to integrate sustainability as a fundamental pillar of its growth strategy. Since 2019, the company has reduced its carbon footprint by 90% and, among other milestones, has set the goal of zero emissions by 2030, through initiatives aimed at energy efficiency.
Making a rapid transition to a decarbonised economy is a global priority. Spain must take advantage of this situation to maximise the economic opportunities offered by this paradigm shift. And, in this sense, Solaria is an allied company to achieve this goal. The Solaria team is therefore joining the working groups of the Spanish Green Growth Group to collaborate with this association, contributing its vision on the green transition, to help generate consensus and to contribute to the regulatory, political and scientific roadmaps.
