Solaria will inaugurate on May 17 the four plants we are building today in Portugal, the first to be built of the 2019 Portuguese auction, in a ceremony attended by the Portuguese Minister of Environment and Energy Transition, João Pedro Matos Fernandes and the Vice Minister and Secretary of State for Energy, João Galamba.
Their attendance at the inaugural event in Alentejo, where three of Solaria’s four photovoltaic plants are located, reflects the strategic relevance of these facilities in promoting energy transition plans in Portugal. In this sense, of the 10,000 MW that the Portuguese State plans to develop by 2030, Solaria plans to install 1,000 MW, which is equivalent to 10% of the total photovoltaic solar energy capacity in this country
To finance the construction of these plants, we have communicated today an agreement with La Banque Postale. The financing will be provided under the project finance modality for an amount of up to 23 M EUR at a very attractive interest rate below 1.75%.
