SOLARIA SIGNS AN AGREEMENT TO SUPPLY 2.5 MW WITH THE FRENCH COMPANY AKORSOL

Solaria Energía y Medio Ambiente, S.A., the only solar company listed in the Spanish Stock Exchange, has signed an agreement to supply PV modules with the French company Akorsol. Solaria will supply 2.5 MW for one of the largest solar rooftop installation in France, with more than 40.000 square meters rooftop installation integrated in a greenhouse. The project is located in the French town of Beno®tville, in the region of Lower Normandy and is expected to be completed by the end of January 2012.

Solaria modules are suited properly to both the needs of its customers and to the peculiarities of each project when modules with especial features are required. Its product portfolio offers solutions adapted to a wide range of applications and working conditions, with high resistance to corrosion, even in salty environments, and snow load, critical factors in this project, where the modules will be integrated into a greenhouse structure.

Akorsol is a photovoltaic expert in installations for industrials and farms that develops specific solutions to allow the owners of industrial buildings and farms to benefit from solar income according to the financial means and from wishes of each. Its main goal is to increase the safety of the investments in the photovoltaic projects.

 

With this agreement, Solaria continues to strengthen its presence in the international markets. The company is still betting for the major European markets where it has a strong presence, with sales offices in Freiburg (Germany), Lyon (France) and Genoa (Italy) as well as for the new emerging markets in key areas such as Latin America, Middle East and Asia.

According to Amaury Journel, Country Manager of France and North Africa „this project ratify our consolidation in the French market as a high efficiency and quality PV module European manufacturer that offers solutions for distributed generation markets enabling our customers to increase the profitability of their PV installations“.
