Solaria, through Prodigy Orbyt LDA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Solaria, has been awarded 49 MWn of solar power capacity in the 1.4GW auction, promoted by the Portuguese State, and held by OMIP on 25, 26 and 29 of July.
The award is associated with the capacity reserve to connect to the grid of Red Eléctrica de Servicio Público and a specific remuneration regime for a period of 15 years, guaranteeing a fixed price for the energy supplied of 19,64 EUR/MWh.
This energy will be supplied from 4 projects located in Alentejo region and will generate an estimated production of 100 GWh per year equivalent to the consumption of a population of 12,200 and will prevent the emission of 692,860 tons of CO2 over its lifetime.
Enrique Díaz-Tejeiro, SOLARIA President: “I am pleased to announce our entry in the Portuguese market through this auction. These 49MWn are another milestone to fulfil our strategic plan and will be the basis to continue increasing our presence in Portugal.”
