At present, the company is completing construction of the first 400 MW, in assets that it expects to be onstream in July, September, October and December of 2019. Solaria is also working on the awarding of the second package for the construction of another 658MW to be connected to the grid in the first half of 2020, which would increase total installed power to 1,375 MW in December of 2020.
In addition, the company now has a pipeline of projects totalling 6,600 MW in Spain and Portugal, which stands to increase its total installed power to 3,325 MW toward the end of 2023.
Solaria Chairman Enrique Díaz-Tejeiro commented, “The entire pipeline was developed internally by our staff, involving a tremendous amount of behind-the-scenes study and planning to ensure technical and economic viability. Solaria is not taking part in any of the speculation regarding the connection points requested of the electric system. We develop all of our projects ourselves, and we neither buy nor sell licenses, which allows us to be extremely competitive in our project-execution costs”.
Solar photovoltaic power is the cheapest and most competitive source of generation worldwide. At this time, Solaria is very well positioned, with over 1,375 MW of finished projects for 2020 and a pipeline of over 6,600 MW.
The company has targeted 3,325 MW in installed PV power in 2023, which would make it the top-ranked independent PV producer in Spain.
