Earlier today, Solaria Energía y Medio Ambiente, S. A, gave a webcast presentation for institutional investors and analysts, providing information on the company’s strategy and outlook.
With a global pipeline of 2.3 GW in Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Mexico, Chile and Brazil, Solaria is to construct in Spain solar-photovoltaic installations to generate a total of 1,300 MW. The initiative is to be taken in stages, with the construction of 200 MW in 2018, 450 MW in 2019 and 650 MW in 2020.
The undertaking consolidates Solaria as a company dedicated to solar-photovoltaic generation and the development of new projects. Its presence is significant throughout the energy market in Europe, whose electricity prices and low generation costs result in great stability and outstanding profitability.
Solaria’s management firmly believe that, in coming years, we will see further reduction of prices and improvement of efficiency. In view of this, it can be said that solar-photovoltaic power is the cheapest energy worldwide.
In addition, Solaria continues to add operational photovoltaic installations to its generation assets. Yesterday, the company closed its acquisition of a solar greenhouse in the Italian region of Sardinia for €15.6mn.
With the completion of this transaction, Solaria takes another step forward in its process of growth as a generator of solar-photovoltaic power in the world’s most important photovoltaic markets.
