We are pleased to announce Solaria has obtained the favourable feasibility access permit (IVA) to install 695MW PV in Garoña 400kV substation located in Burgos province, where Solaria acts as Single Node Interlocutor (IUN).
Barcina-Garoña PV Complex is the third big project in Solaria’s portfolio along with Trillo (626MW) and Villaviciosa (782MW). These 3 projects represent more than 2,100MW and 65% of the 2023 target of the company to which must be added the rest of the project of the portfolio. Today the company has an amount of IVAs well above the 2023 target.
To secure these access to the grid permits is key to ensure the development and growth of the company in the coming years, during which a strong development of renewable energy projects is expected under the recently approved Climate Change Law.
This complexes will generate an estimated production of 4200 GWh per year equivalent to the consumption of a population of 1,200,000 and will prevent the emission of 848,000 tons of CO2 per year.
